If you have a bunch of negatives/slides that you want scanned, I would suggest scancafe.com . Here is a review about them http://twipphoto.com/archives/323 . They will scan slides at 3000DPI and remove dust and scratches for $o.29, And they use Nikon 5000ED & 9000ED scanners. I have only heard great things from them. I would say that you should pop the slides in a projector, mark the ones that you want scanned and send them off. Way better quality than just taking a picture of the projected image.
